ABOUT

We hope your camper will join us this Sunday, June 28, 2020 – Friday, July 3, 2020 for our exciting Compelled Summer camp!  The camp is for age groups (rising) 7th grade through high school (Class of 2020 high school graduates).

II Corinthians 5:14 tells us that “The love of God compels us.”  This camp experience will challenge students to be “compelled” to love, grow, serve, and go.  This will all take place in the unique mountain environment of Ozone, Arkansas, at the Pinecrest Camp grounds.

Camp Spaces are limited and fill up quickly. Registration will be taken on a first come-first served basis. (Once camp is full we will add students to a waiting list; you will be contacted if a space becomes available.)

From the Camp director

Dear Pastor and Student Ministry Leader:

It’s with great joy that I write to you about something that has been in my heart since I stepped away from youth ministry. My name is Hector Villanueva, and for 24 years, I served as the Student Pastor at Rio Life Community Church, which is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. I’m currently the Executive Pastor at Rio Life. I started coordinating camps back in 1996. I was mentored in camps by Alfredo Gutierrez, who is an Alliance Pastor. From 1996 to 2004, we did camps at Pinecrest, Arkansas. After a 12 year absence, we relaunched camp in 2017. Our camp team has been working diligently to put together a week of camp where your youth pastor, youth leader and students will be well served.

Our Camp Purpose: We strive to impact students with the message of the Gospel—where it transforms lives, renews communities and impacts the world!

We Value:

  • ï‚·  The heart of camp is discipleship!

  • ï‚·  We are committed to identifying potential leadership

  • ï‚·  We give potential leadership an opportunity to serve

  • ï‚·  We make an effort at intentionally investing and pouring into the lives of students

  • ï‚·  We make it a point to challenge students about full-time ministry

  • ï‚·  We want to help students navigate through this time in their life. We are raising adults!

  • ï‚·  We work hard at making sure our adults intentionally connect with students

  • ï‚·  We are committed to teaching the Word and challenging students to grow

  • ï‚·  We are committed to having Gospel-Centered worship that focuses on Him rather than us

  • ï‚·  We desire to create a camp where students can be themselves and have a blast with us and each other! We want to laugh!

The theme for Camp: “Compelled”

  • 2 Corinthians 5:14 tells us that “The love of God compels us!”
We believe that it is as Paul said that His love compels us to be what He has called us to be.

Our camp will drive 4 key concepts:

  • ï‚·  Compelled To Love

  • ï‚·  Compelled To Grow

  • ï‚·  Compelled To Serve

  • ï‚·  Compelled To Go

Break-Out Sessions For Morning:

Our break-out sessions will continue to drive these areas in a more practical way. We want to make our breakout sessions Biblical but interactive.  These sessions will be done by seasoned leaders who have are passionate about speaking biblical truth.

There is so much that I would like to share with you but I don’t want to bore you with a lot of info. But I do want to say this. If you send your students they will experience an incredible camp where we make Jesus the main thing. Feel free to call me or text me I would love to talk to you more about summer camp.

Consumed by His Call,

Hector Villanueva, Executive Pastor
